Bonita Todd-Ball is an accomplished nurse leader, educator, and community health advocate with more than 39 years of experience across clinical care, nursing leadership, higher education, and health policy engagement. She is widely recognized for her leadership in nursing governance, program development, and advocacy efforts that advance equity and excellence in healthcare.


Bonita currently serves as Nursing Faculty at Delaware Technical Community College – Stanton Campus, where she prepares the next generation of nurses in clinical reasoning, patient-centered care, and professional formation. Her extensive clinical leadership background includes roles in Critical Care, Intermediate Care, and Oncology at Trinity Health, the Wilmington VA Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, and the Crozer Health System, where she led interdisciplinary teams to improve quality outcomes and patient experience.


Bonita has held board appointments with Chi Eta Phi Nursing Sorority, Inc. (Theta Chapter), the American Heart Association – Southeastern Pennsylvania, and the American Nurses Association National Nominations Committee. She remains an active member of the Delaware Nurses Association, serving as a grassroots advocate and as a member of the DEIBA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging & Accessibility) Committee, as well as the Delaware Organization of Nurse Leaders (DONL) Advocacy Committee.


Bonita maintains national certifications in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) and Nurse Executive (NE-BC) and has been honored with multiple awards recognizing her leadership, mentorship, and long-standing commitment to advancing the nursing profession, including the prestigious Comprehensive Nurse Scholarship Grant supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2024.

Christine Moses is a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with 34 years of experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and advocacy. She currently practices as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with NorthStar Anesthesia, providing comprehensive anesthesia care across diverse surgical settings.


Christine began her nursing career after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware (1991). She completed her advanced training in nurse anesthesia at St. Joseph’s University and the Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia, earning her Master of Science in Anesthesia and CRNA certification in 1998.


In addition to her clinical practice, Christine has served as Professor of Practice at two academic institutions, teaching nursing education, clinical practice, and curriculum development. 


She previously served as an APRN member of the Delaware Board of Nursing, bringing her expertise to statewide regulatory and professional standards. Christine currently serves on a healthcare advocacy committee, collaborating with state leaders to advance equitable working conditions for nurses and improve access to care for all Delawareans. Her career reflects a deep commitment to patient safety, nursing excellence, and community health advancement.

 Dr. Angela R. Jourdain, a seasoned nurse leader, educator, and public health advocate, brings over 20 years of progressive clinical and leadership experience in nursing and more than 30 years of experience in public health to her role. Her clinical practice spans critical care, nursing administration, ambulatory care, home health, and acute-care settings.


She holds a B.S. in Natural Science from Spelman College, a A.A.B.S. in Nursing from Capella University, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration with Informatics from Molloy College, and a Doctorate in Public Health from Walden University. Her doctoral research explored systemic contributors to increased mortality and morbidity among women diagnosed with ectopic pregnancies—particularly among women of color. Dr. Jourdain maintains certifications through the American Association of Critical-Care

Nurses (CCRN) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC).


An active member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated since 2004 through Kappa Eta Chapter, Nassau/Suffolk Counties, New York, Dr. Jourdain has held several leadership positions on the local, regional, and national levels of the sorority, showcasing her commitment to strengthening operations, expanding opportunities, and championing community health initiatives. She has received several awards from the sorority including local and regional Member of the Year Awards, the Mabel Keaton Staupers National Award and the Helen S. Miller National Award.


Dr. Jourdain was elected a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine in 2020 in recognition of her work addressing health disparities throughout the New York City

metro area. She will be inducted into the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing in December 2025.  In 2025, she completed the HIV Health Equity Leadership Development Program, co-sponsored by the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine and Xavier University of Louisiana.


Dr. Jourdain volunteers with the Medical Reserve Corps. She is a member of the Delaware Academy of Medicine, the New York Academy of Medicine, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Alpha Pi National Society for Leadership and Success, the American Public Health Association, the American Nurses Association, and a member of the Board of Directors with the National Association of Doctors of Public Health.  Dr. Jourdain has received numerous awards in recognition of her civic contributions and clinical excellence.


Dr. Jourdain is deeply engaged in mentoring the next generation of nursing professionals, serving as both a guide and an inspiration for those entering the field. She is a frequent speaker at conferences and events, where she presents on topics ranging from health equity and leadership in nursing to the integration of informatics in clinical practice.


With a leadership style rooted in service, data, and advocacy, Dr. Jourdain aims to make a powerful impact on the lives of patients, nurses, and communities nationwide.

Amy is the owner and director of Seniors Helping Seniors In-Home Services in Lewes, Delaware, where she has led operations since 2014. Through her business, Amy connects older adults with compassionate peer caregivers, helping seniors live independently while fostering purpose and connection in later life. Her leadership reflects a deep understanding of both community needs and sustainable business practices that support caregiving across generations.


With a strong background in business management, operations, and community engagement, Amy brings valuable expertise in strategic growth, workforce development, and program sustainability. Before founding Seniors Helping Seniors, she held management and consulting roles with Siemens AG and The George Washington University Medical Center, where she developed business systems to support health and education programs.

Dr. Rose Rossi is a senior nurse executive and educator with extensive leadership experience across clinical services, higher education, and workforce development. She currently serves as the Director of Nursing Services at Ashley Addiction Treatment Center in Havre de Grace, Maryland, where she oversees nursing operations, clinical quality, and patient-centered care for individuals receiving substance use and recovery services.


Dr. Rossi is also Professor Emeritus of Nursing at Widener University, where she previously served as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs. In that role, she managed a $6 million academic portfolio serving more than 3,000 undergraduate students across 40 programs. Her leadership includes securing a $1.6 million HRSA Nursing Workforce Diversity Grant, which expanded educational access and strengthened the pipeline of diverse nursing professionals.


With a foundation spanning nursing practice, business management, and academic leadership, Dr. Rossi is known for developing strategic initiatives that bridge education, healthcare operations, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Her commitment to innovation, evidence-based practice, and narrative research has shaped programs that help nursing students and clinicians grow personally and professionally.


Dr. Rossi also serves as the Associate Editorial Director for the Delaware Nurses Association’s Reporter Magazine, supporting statewide communication and professional engagement among Delaware nurses.


She earned her Doctor of Nursing Science and Master of Business Administration from Widener University, her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University.

Nurse Leader, Quality & Medical Policy Specialist


Nancy Hromack is an experienced nurse leader with a 46-year career spanning intensive care nursing, medical policy development, and healthcare quality management. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse and has held multiple professional certifications throughout her career.


Nancy began her nursing career in the Intensive Care Unit at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where she played a key role in developing an inpatient cardiac rehabilitation program and led staff training initiatives across the medical center. After two decades in critical care, she transitioned to the corporate healthcare sector, serving in roles focused on medical review, medical policy, Medicare provider education, and accreditation compliance.


At Highmark, Inc., Nancy supported systemwide quality improvement efforts, including NCQA accreditation, HEDIS performance, and Risk Adjustment activities. Her expertise strengthened organizational standards in both clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.


During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nancy served as a medical volunteer with the Delaware Medical Reserve Corps/RespondDE and continues to provide volunteer service to the community. Nancy leads one of the neighborhood health hubs affiliated with Nurses & Neighbors. 


Nancy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Carlow University, where she was awarded the Caritas Christi Award for Academic Excellence in Clinical Performance. She completed her nursing diploma at the Altoona Hospital School of Nursing, where she served as class president.

Lead, Nurse Clinic for the Unhoused – Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative


Dr. Jane Kurz is an accomplished nursing educator, researcher, and leader with a distinguished career spanning academic leadership, community health, and global nursing engagement. She currently serves as Adjunct Professor of Nursing at La Salle University and has previously held major leadership roles including Chair and Associate Dean at Temple University and Chair of Nursing at La Salle University. Her academic appointments have also included faculty positions at the University of Pittsburgh, Duquesne University, Holy Family University, and Delaware State University.


Dr. Kurz leads the Nurse Clinic for the Unhoused, a flagship community health project of Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative, which provides wellness screenings, chronic disease support, and direct outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness. Under her leadership, the Nurse Clinic received the 2024 Lt. Governor’s Wellness Challenge Community Spotlight Award for innovation and impact in community-based nursing care.


Her research has focused on families involved in lung transplantation, as well as issues affecting nursing students. Dr. Kurz has published extensively in journals such as the Journal of Nursing Regulation, Teaching and Learning in Nursing, Journal of Professional Nursing, and Progress in Transplantation. She is a frequent reviewer for multiple scholarly journals and has received grant funding from HRSA, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, the City of Philadelphia, and local organizations.


Dr. Kurz also brings international experience, including two USAID-sponsored projects in Ukraine and participation in the 2014 Nightingale London program, where she led students in exploring the historical and contemporary health care system in England.


She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Family Studies from the University of Delaware and her Master of Science in Nursing from Widener University.

Co-Founder, Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative


Bet Key Wong is a nurse leader, social entrepreneur, and innovator with more than 40 years of experience across healthcare, clinical education, and community health. She is widely recognized for designing simple, neighborhood-driven solutions to complex health challenges.


Bet is responsible for securing two major grants that have shaped the growth of Nurses & Neighbors Collaborative: the AARP Community Challenge Grant (2023) and the Highmark BluePrints for the Community Grant (2025), which launched the Neighborhood Foot Care Patrol™.  She served as Team Lead for both initiatives. Bet was also the Co-Lead of the winning team “Price is Right” at the 2021 NurseHack4Health Hackathon, which helped elevate nurse-led innovation nationally.


In 2025, Bet was appointed to the Delaware Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage and Culture. She leads several Nurses & Neighbors projects focused on access to care, health equity, health literacy, caregiving, transportation, and mobility. In addition to her nonprofit work, Bet serves on the Board of Directors of La Red Health Center, where she chairs the Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance Committee.


Bet began her career as a medicinal chemist at DuPont before transitioning into clinical research, product education, and nursing roles with Merck, Johnson & Johnson, and 3M. She has served as a clinical educator in perioperative services at Bayhealth Medical Center in Delaware and as a staff and charge nurse at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Massachusetts.


She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Brown University, a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Rochester, and a Master of Science in Nursing from Worcester State University.
